Welcome to ECOA: “The Entertainment Content Owners Association of India” established 1963. It indeed has & is a great privilege for me to have the Opportunity to serve as a President of this Prominent Comprehensive Apex Body. ECOA is dedicated to the growth & wellbeing of their members who owns Entertainment Content in India.
This renowned body was established in 1963 as “Indian Film Exporters Association” by film legend Late Mr. Lim Billimoria with few other Indian Film Exporters to promote & facilitate the commerce of Indian Films abroad. Since then, the body has come a long way in charting paths, uniting, securing & protecting various legitimate rights of their member’s content.
Keeping in sync with the changing times & recognising the meteoric growth of TV, Digital Content & OTT sector, the body was renamed as “Entertainment Content Owners Association of India (ECOA)” in May 2021. In its new avatar ECOA embraces & extends its membership to the content owners of all languages, genres & formats across all audio visual platforms
Since early 2020, The Pandemic has disrupted the entire ecosystem of the entertainment content sector in terms of creation, exhibition & consumption, resulting heavy losses for everyone. However with things slowly improving, We at ECOA are confident that the Indian Entertainment Content Owners will put their best foot forward & turn around soon again, coming out triumphant from these difficult times.
We at ECOA invite all of you to be a part of our illustrious family & trust us with our history & expertise in safeguarding your content. So that you can focus on continuing what you are best in : Creating cutting edge content & entertaining mankind globally. I take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues in the Association, whose continued patronage & confidence in ECOA inspires us to extend the best of our services to the existing members as well as the new members that will join us soon.
